Technical requirements
Requires SharePoint Online with tenant-level App Catalog access for the SPFx web part. Reads profile data from Microsoft Graph — appropriate Graph permissions are required for the SPFx app.

Where does the profile data come from?
Microsoft Graph — the same source as Teams and the rest of Microsoft 365. No duplicate data store.
Can we add custom fields like skills or projects?
Yes. The metadata model is extensible; new fields can be defined in SharePoint and surfaced on the profile card layout.
